Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences 

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences is dedicated to excellence in education, research, and professional practice in laboratory medicine. As one of the fundamental disciplines within the health sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences play a pivotal role in disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and health promotion. It is estimated that the majority of clinical decisions rely on accurate and timely laboratory test results, highlighting the essential contribution of medical laboratory professionals to modern healthcare.

The department offers a comprehensive educational program that integrates fundamental biomedical sciences with advanced laboratory techniques and clinical applications. Students receive theoretical instruction alongside extensive practical and clinical training in disciplines including clinical biochemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, transfusion medicine, parasitology, mycology, virology, and quality management. Through laboratory-based education and clinical internships, students develop the knowledge, technical competence, critical thinking, and professional ethics required for high-quality laboratory practice.
