Investigating the Effect of COVID-19 Epidemic on Selected Mental Health and Behaviors Indicators among Healthcare Workers
Study Objectives
- Determining the incidence of anxiety, depression and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), in healthcare workers (HCWs) after the onset of covid-19 infection
- Comparison of Physical activity in HCWs before and after the onset of covid-19 infection
- Determining the incidence of sleep disorders in HCWs after the onset of covid-19 infection
Summary
This study is a mixed-method cohort study. According to the study objectives, the required data for the pre-COVID 19 phase, extracted from the HCWs cohort study (SHAHWAR cohort) data base of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences.
In post-COVID 19 data gathering stage to prevent the spread of disease, we applied the digital data collection method. So link of questionnaires in the areas of physical activity, sleep quality, anxiety, depression and stress are provided online via SMS or a social networking apps.
The demographic information including gender, age, and education, place of residence, marital status, employment status, and whole of information about the studied variables of participants were collected in order to compare in two stages before and after the COVID-19 Epidemic.
