A. Environmental health
1- Determining the amount and evaluation of priority pollutants with carcinogenic effects, anomalies and mutations in the environment (Water, air, soil, municipal and industrial wastewater)
2- Investigating the methods of improving the quality management of water resources in terms of protection of catchment areas in order to prevent the entry of natural, urban, industrial, agricultural, livestock pollutants into water resources and reduce treatment costs in water and wastewater treatment plants.
3- Investigating the methods of upgrading the process units of water treatment plants and the methods of their operation with emphasis on the removal of chlorination by-products (THMs), ozonation by-products (bromates), removal of natural organic compounds (NOMs) from water and also removal of specific pollutants;
4- Efforts to enter research into the application of nanotechnology in water, wastewater and air treatment;
5- Efforts to enter research into the application of GIS in water treatment, wastewater and environmental impact assessment;
6- Application of cellular-molecular methods in environmental health engineering;

8- Investigating the efficiency of wastewater treatment systems and providing solutions to increase capacity and increase the efficiency of these systems with modern modeling methods;
