Bachelor of Anesthesia

The Bachelor of Anesthesia is an undergraduate program within the field of Allied Health Sciences that prepares students to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered anesthesia care. The curriculum provides comprehensive education in the principles and practice of anesthesia, perioperative medicine, patient monitoring, pharmacology, physiology, and the operation of advanced anesthesia equipment and technologies.

Graduates acquire the knowledge, clinical competence, and professional skills required to provide comprehensive perioperative care for patients undergoing general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and procedural sedation. They are trained to participate effectively in patient assessment and preparation before anesthesia, monitoring and support during anesthesia, and postoperative recovery and care.

Additionally, graduates develop competencies in the management of acute and chronic pain, emergency and critical care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the care of critically ill patients. Working collaboratively with anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, anesthesia professionals play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and maintaining high standards of perioperative care across operating rooms, intensive care units, emergency departments, pain management services, and other specialized healthcare settings.
