Medical Tourism or Health Tourism is a trip to another country for the purpose of treatment. The reasons for this type of tourism are the lack of similar treatment methods, high costs, the lack of advanced treatment technologies in the country of origin, and so on. On the other hand, due to the appropriate medical tariffs in Iran compared to other countries in the region and the international quality of healthcare provision, many international clients tend to travel to Iran to receive medical services; and this has led our beloved country to one of the hubs for health tourism in the region.
According to the approvals of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Shahroud Bahar Hospital with the actual and potential capabilities such as the appropriate and standards area, advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, experienced specialists and healthcare professionals, etc., IPD has been established in the hospital to provide health tourism services in a way that is worthy of international clients.
This unit is considered as a bridge of communication between the hospital and international patients, from the first call to receive treatment to the follow-up process after receiving services.

- To respond to patients through phone call, email or request on the hospital website
- To coordinate the attending physician / IPD physicians and respective treatment units (including admission, paraclinic units, operating room, inpatient wards, discharge unit, etc.) to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment process.
