Maternity ward
Bahar Hospital's maternity ward is the main G&O center in Shahroud and is located on the first floor and next to the NICU and speeds up the transfer of the neonatal in special circumstances. It includes the triage and midwifery reception unit, four LDR rooms, observation room, doctor's room, treatment room, etc. The services of this department contain delivery and care during and after delivery, examination of high-risk cases and referral to higher centers if necessary, examination of fetal health tests, childbirth preparation classes and breastfeeding counseling, etc.
- Triage: All expecting mothers are examined in this section and according to the mother condition, we will decide about care and treatment procedures.
- LDR rooms: cozy rooms with approximate size of 36 square meters and welfare facilities for mothers. We have been tried to provide a pleasant environment for mothers to avoid anxiety and stress during delivery. These single rooms include adjustable beds that can be changed to eight different positions according to the patient needs. Necessary medical equipment includes: warmer, baby cut, incubator, maternal and fetal monitoring, delivery equipment, oxygen, central suction and vacuum, plus amenities such as TV, refrigerator, birth ball, etc are available in each room. Non-pharmacological pain reduction methods (massage, aromatherapy) and accompanying of the mother are other measures that can make the delivery process more pleasant. Mothers will spend their labor, delivery and two hours after delivery in the LDR rooms and then will be transferred to the postpartum.
- Observation room: It includes 6 observation beds with facilities for fetal monitoring, vital signs monitor, emergency trolley and medicine cabinet, where all pregnant mothers with danger symptoms or mothers who need to be checked for their fetal health are taken care here.
- Treatment: This room includes a portable ultrasound machine, a pulse oximeter, a medicine cabinet and a refrigerator.
- Affiliated units: gynocology clinic, ultrasound and vaccination units will complete the services to mothers.
