Shahroud University of Medical Sciences to Host 30th National Quran and Etrat Festival

Dr. Mohammad Hassan Emamian, President of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences and Head of the Executive Committee for the 30th National Quran and Etrat Festival, welcomed the university’s selection as the host of this prestigious national event, calling it a valuable honor for the city of Shahroud.

After a thorough evaluation among eight competing universities, Shahroud University of Medical Sciences was chosen due to its strong cultural and logistical infrastructure, as well as the dedicated efforts of its staff. Dr. Emamian emphasized that the festival provides a unique opportunity to showcase the city’s cultural, scientific, tourism, and Quranic capacities on a national stage.

The festival, scheduled for early September to coincide with Unity Week, will host over 1,200 participants, including ministers, senior officials of the Ministry of Health, academic leaders, and Quranic activists. “This event is more than a cultural competition; it is a platform to strengthen religious identity, solidarity, and Quranic culture among university staff and healthcare professionals,” Dr. Emamian noted.

The university, in collaboration with the local governor’s office, governmental agencies, cultural institutions, and service organizations, is fully prepared for the 15-day festival. The event also honors the role of the Quran and Etrat in promoting spirituality, professional ethics, and cohesion within the healthcare community.

During the press conference, Dr. Emamian received the official appointment as Head of the Executive Committee of the 30th National Quran and Etrat Festival, and the family of the health defender martyr Milad Bastami was honored in the presence of officials.
