Shahroud University Strengthens Efforts to Expand Dental Education Programs

Senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education visited Shahroud University of Medical Sciences to evaluate the university’s educational and infrastructural capacities for admitting dental students and expanding dental education programs.

During the meeting, Dr. Mehdi Kadkhodazadeh, Secretary of the Dental and Specialty Education Council, and Dr. Vatanpour, Advisor to the Council’s Secretary, met with Dr. Emamian, President of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences, along with Dr. Aghayan, Vice Chancellor for Education, Dr. Khajeh, Vice Chancellor for Student and Cultural Affairs, and Dr. Mortazavi, Dean of the School of Dentistry.

The discussions focused on assessing the university’s educational, research, and clinical capacities to support the development of dental education. Dr. Emamian highlighted the university’s strong academic and research capabilities, modern facilities, and active innovation ecosystem as key strengths for launching dental student admissions and expanding related programs.

The delegation also visited Ayatollah Shahroudi Dental Clinic and the School of Dentistry, where Dr. Mortazavi presented an overview of the clinic’s current activities, capacities, and future development plans.

The visit is part of ongoing efforts to establish the necessary conditions for admitting dental students and further strengthening dental education at Shahroud University of Medical Sciences.
