Evaluation Visit of the Medical Parasitology Board Members of the Ministry of Health to Shahroud University of Medical Sciences for International Student Admission Feasibility

The members of the Specialized Board of Medical Parasitology of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education visited Shahroud University of Medical Sciences to assess the university’s capacities and infrastructure for the potential admission of international students to the Master’s program in Medical Parasitology.

During the visit, which was attended by the President of the University, Dr. Mohammad Hassan Emamian, the Vice-Chancellor for Education, as well as several faculty members and academic managers, the board members were briefed on the university’s current status, academic programs, student population, and educational, research, and healthcare facilities. They also visited various departments to become familiar with the university’s capabilities in education, research, and health service delivery.

The delegation further evaluated the university’s clinical strengths, academic and laboratory infrastructure, research capacities, faculty expertise, and ongoing development plans. In addition, discussions were held regarding potential areas for expanding academic collaboration and strengthening international education programs.

The board members expressed their satisfaction with the university’s continuous growth and development, and positively assessed its educational and research capacities. They also emphasized the importance of further developing international infrastructure and preparing the necessary conditions for admitting international students into the Master’s program in Medical Parasitology.
