Shahroud University of Medical Sciences and Cultural Heritage Officials Hold Joint Meeting to Advance Health Tourism

As part of ongoing efforts to promote health tourism, the International Affairs Office of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences held a joint meeting with representatives from the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts sector.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Rezvian, Head of the Shahroud Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Office; Dr. Sharifi, Head of Ecotourism of Semnan Province; Dr. Azizi, Advisor for Planning and Strategic Monitoring at Shahroud University of Medical Sciences; officials from the University's International Affairs Office; and other stakeholders involved in health tourism.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the University's capabilities in providing medical services to international patients, alongside Shahroud's rich cultural, historical, tourism, and ecotourism resources. They highlighted the importance of strengthening intersectoral collaboration to promote Shahroud as an attractive destination for both healthcare services and tourism.

The participants agreed to continue holding specialized coordination meetings to expand joint cooperation. They also approved plans to organize a joint event introducing Shahroud's health tourism capacities and to develop a comprehensive Health Tourism Development Roadmap for Shahroud, which will be further discussed and finalized in upcoming meetings.

This collaborative initiative reflects the shared commitment of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences and regional tourism authorities to enhance the city's position as a leading destination for health tourism in Iran.
