General Medicine Program (M.D.) for International Students

The School of Medicine at SHMU offers a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program specifically designed for international students, combining scientific rigor with a humanistic approach to produce skilled, ethical, and compassionate physicians.

Program Highlights

• Program Focus: A comprehensive curriculum integrating foundational biomedical sciences, advanced pathophysiology, and extensive clinical training—including clerkship and internship—within SHMU’s affiliated teaching hospitals.
• Duration: Seven years of continuous study, culminating in the award of the M.D. degree.
• Objective: Equip students with essential knowledge and practical competencies to diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide range of diseases, emphasizing patient-centered care.
• Global Recognition: Accredited by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, ensuring international validity for clinical practice or postgraduate training.
