Clinical Research Development Center (CRDC) at Imam Hossein Hospital, Shahroud

The Clinical Research Development Center (CRDC) at Imam Hossein Hospital, affiliated with Shahroud University of Medical Sciences, is a strategic platform dedicated to advancing high-impact, evidence-based clinical and translational research within the regional healthcare system.

Established in alignment with the national initiative to integrate research directly into clinical practice, the CRDC serves as a dynamic hub for innovation, research support, and scientific capacity building.

Historical Foundation & Infrastructure

The Shahroud CRDC unit was officially accredited in 2013/2014 (1392 SH), building upon the national Clinical Research Development Center network established in 2002/2003 (1381 SH).

The Center operates from a dedicated on-site facility within Imam Hossein Hospital, providing structured space for:

  • Research coordination and administration

  • Study design and protocol development

  • Regulatory documentation support

  • Preliminary patient interaction and recruitment

Its hospital-based location ensures direct integration between clinical services and research implementation.
