A free screening and risk assessment project for non-communicable diseases was implemented in Shahrood with the aim of increasing people's participation in self-care.

Dr. Mehdi Mirzaei, Deputy Director of Health at Shahrood University of Medical Sciences, said: "This campaign was carried out with the presence of experts in non-communicable diseases, laboratories, nutrition, and mental health in Shahrood comprehensive health service centers and bases with the aim of identifying patients with diabetes, blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and cancer over the age of 30."

Seyyed Mehdi Hosseini, head of laboratory affairs at the Health Deputy of Shahrood University of Medical Sciences, also said: 48 hours after the test is performed, the results are sent to individuals and, if needed, to healthcare providers.

Patients identified in this campaign are placed in the care cycle and, if needed, are referred to medical centers for treatment
