General Medicine Program (MD) for International Students
The School of Medicine at Shahroud University of Medical Sciences (SUMS) is committed to training the next generation of physicians through its Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, which is specifically tailored for international students and aligns with the highest international educational benchmarks.
This program is dedicated exclusively to General Medicine, emphasizing a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum designed to produce highly competent, ethical, and compassionate medical professionals.
Program Highlights:
Program Focus: The curriculum is structured to integrate foundational basic sciences, advanced physiopathology, and extensive clinical training (clerkship and internship) in affiliated teaching hospitals.
Duration: Typically spans 7 years of continuous study, culminating in the award of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
Objective: To equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for diagnosing, managing, and preventing a broad spectrum of diseases, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care.
Global Standard: The program is recognized and accredited by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, ensuring the degree is globally viable for future clinical practice or advanced training.
Learning Environment: SUMS provides a supportive and culturally diverse environment, ensuring international students receive the necessary resources to excel academically and professionally.
