For the first time, core needle biopsy (CNB) of subcutaneous masses, especially breast masses, was performed with ultrasound guidance at the specialized and subspecialty polyclinic of Shahrood University of Medical Sciences. This service, with the joint cooperation of radiology and general surgery specialists and their simultaneous presence in the sampling process, is considered a significant development in the early diagnosis of breast diseases.

Dr. Hossein Ebrahimi was introduced as the new Vice President for Research and Technology of the university and Dr. Garmabi's efforts were appreciated.
