Shahroud University of Medical Sciences (SHMU) - Code of Ethics for Authorized Recruitment Agents

 

I. Core Principles:

Integrity: Agents must conduct all recruitment activities with the highest level of honesty and transparency. Misrepresentation of SHMU programs, fees, or admission requirements is strictly prohibited.

Compliance: Full adherence to all local, national, and international laws governing student recruitment, immigration, and data protection (GDPR/similar principles).

II. Financial Conduct:

Fee Disclosure: All commissions, service fees, and related charges must be explicitly disclosed to the prospective student in writing before any commitment is made.

Prohibited Practices: Agents are forbidden from accepting or offering bribes, kickbacks, or any undisclosed payments from or to university staff or students.

III. Student Welfare & Information Accuracy:

Accurate Information: Agents must only use the official, current promotional and academic materials provided by SHMU’s International Affairs Office.

Informed Consent: Students must be fully informed about the entire application, acceptance, visa, and registration process. Agents must not guarantee admission.

Data Privacy: Student personal data collected during recruitment must be secured and used solely for the purpose of application processing, in line with SHMU’s data policy.

IV. Consequences of Violation:

Any breach of this Code of Ethics will result in immediate review, potential contract termination, and possible legal action as appropriate.
