Cover Letter Guidelines
Cover Letter Guidelines
SHMU applicants should complement their CV with a cover letter, directed to the SHMU Admission Committee. The cover letter can make a significant contribution to your admission. An influential cover letter should highlight your qualifications, communication skills, and fields of interest. It should also demonstrate your specific experiences that showcase the skills required by SHMU application criteria.
Cover letters are an opportunity to convince the SHMU Admission Committee that you have the potential to be a prospective SHMU student. You should clearly indicate your intended program in the cover letter and prove your suitability for the chosen study program by listing the specific skills that distinguish you from other applicants. The reason why you chose SHMU should also be explained in the cover letter. If you are applying for a scholarship, specify the type of scholarship you are interested in. Additionally, you should thoroughly describe your goals and aspirations, as SHMU is looking for students with vision and motivation.
Cover Letter Format
Prepare a one-page, neat, and readable cover letter using Times New Roman, size 12 points. Make sure your letter is well written. Proofread carefully, check spelling and grammar, and share your essay with teachers or friends for feedback. Your contact information, such as your email address, phone number, and postal address, should be included in the cover letter.
