Shahroud University of Medical Sciences (SHMU)

To expand international engagement and knowledge exchange beyond physical boundaries, Shahroud University of Medical Sciences (SHMU) organizes a wide range of webinars, virtual symposia, and live academic events in collaboration with national and international partners.

These online programs provide an accessible and interactive platform that connects SHMU faculty, researchers, and students with experts and institutions around the world. The initiative supports SHMU’s vision of building a digital academic community that encourages scientific dialogue, innovation, and global collaboration.


Objectives:

To facilitate real-time academic discussions and training across geographical distances.

To promote international visibility and participation of SHMU’s experts and researchers.

To share latest research findings and innovative academic practices.

To encourage multidisciplinary collaboration and knowledge transfer.

To provide virtual capacity-building opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers.

SHMU’s online academic activities cover diverse formats and themes, including:

International Webinars on trending topics in health sciences and global health.

Virtual Lectures and Panel Discussions led by SHMU faculty or guest speakers.

Live Research Forums and Online Roundtables for exchange of ideas and project development.

Interactive Workshops and e-Training Sessions for professional development.

Online Conference Streams complementing in-person academic events.


Implementation and Collaboration:

All webinars and live events are coordinated by the Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs in collaboration with SHMU’s faculties and research centers.

Technical infrastructure is supported by SHMU’s Information Technology Center, ensuring high-quality connectivity and accessibility for participants across different regions.

Joint webinars are often organized under Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) or specific academic cooperation agreements with international partners, facilitating structured engagement and content sharing.


Participation and Access:

Participation in SHMU webinars and live events is typically free of charge, and sessions are open to global audiences depending on the theme and level of collaboration.

Certificates of participation may be issued to attendees upon completion of the event.
